WHAT: Superstition: An art party that is a documentary in the
making. The Gershwin Hotel will be the first location for a film documenting unrepresented artists. J.D. Szalla will direct this party as he attempts to work with raw process, dealing with contemporary American myth and ritual. The participating artists and the general public are invited to attend, participate or just observe. Szalla's process tries to work within the constraints of a new era of anxiety. The decadence, fear and loathing of the past decade has fallen. Superstition is the next generation of artists forging the new New York.
